Itinerary

Day 1:
Ahmedabad – Bhavnagar (207 Kms / 3-4 Hrs)

Arrive in Ahmedabad. Transfer to Bhavnagar. Founded in 1743 A.D., by Bhavsinhji Gohil, Bhavnagar was the capital
of a former princely state. It is located on the scenic Gulf of Kambhat (Cambay), on the South Eastern coast of
Saurashtra and a gateway to the world famous Jain temples of Palitana. On arrival proceed to visit the Jain Temples
at Palitana, atop the hill, which is a conglomeration of 863 exquisitely carved Jain shrines built by devotees during a
period spanning 900 years from the 11th century onwards. Here you will climb 3,500 steps to reach the top of the
hills to reach the temples (Dolis and palanquins, are available and charges are as per the weight). Overnight stay at
hotel.

Day 2:
Bhavnagar – Diu (223 Kms / 4-5 Hrs)

Today you will be transferred to Diu, a beautiful tiny island, on the west coast of India, with a coastal length of 21
Kms. The word `Diu’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Dweep’. Diu was one of the best sea ports and a naval base
between the 14th and 16th Century. Proceed to your hotel and rest of the day is at leisure on the beach. Overnight
stay at hotel.

Day 3:
Diu

Full day is at leisure on the beach or optionally you may visit the Diu Fort. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4:
Diu – Sasangir (128 Kms / 3 4 Hrs)

This morning you will drive to Sasangir. Enroute you will visit the Somnath the most sacred Lord Shiva Temple in
Western India, proceed to your forest lodge and rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5 :
Sasan Gir

Early morning and evening you will take a Lion Safari by jeep / canter in the Gir Forest. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6 :
Sasan Gir – Rajkot (155 Kms / 4 Hrs)

Today you will drive from Sasangir to Rajkot, the gateway to Saurashtra, followed by hotel check-in. In the
afternoon, proceed for a city sightseeing tour of Rajkot, visit the Kaba Gandhi No Delo, house of Mahatma Gandhi,
proceed to Jagat Mandir, and lastly visit the Watson Museum and library. The evening is at leisure to explore local
markets. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7 :
Rajkot – Jamnagar (100 Kms / 2 Hrs)

Today you will be driven from Rajkot to Jamnagar, a former princely state built in the year 1540 by the Jadeja
Rajputs, enroute you will visit the Morvi town famous for its Pottery and ceramic tiles. Proceed to your hotel and
rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8 :
Jamnagar – Dwarka – Jamnagar (148 Kms / 3 Hrs one way)

This morning you will proceed for a full day excursion to visit Dwarka, one of the Hinduism’s four ‘Holy Abodes’
(Chardhams). Visit the temples of Lord Krishna and Goddess Rukhmini. In the evening return to Jamnagar and
overnight stay at hotel.

Day 9 :
Jamnagar – Bhuj (313 Kms / 7-8 Hrs)

Early this morning you will drive to Bhuj (313 Kms / 7 hrs ), proceed to your hotel and rest of the day is at leisure to
look around the local markets. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10 :
Bhuj

This morning proceed for a sightseeing of Bhuj, visit Aina Mahal Palace, Cenotoph Complex and Kutch Museum.
Later this afternoon you will visit Bani Village (90 Kms/2 hrs one way), famous for hand embroidery on textile and
leather, you may also see local tribes making embroidery and buy embroidered fabric or leather articles. Overnight
stay at hotel.

Day 11 :
Depart Bhuj

Today you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport / railway station for your journey back home.
