Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Rome Welcome to Rome, the eternal city. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to the hotel by your private van. Check in and relax. The day is free to walk around and explore the city, on your own. Overnight in Rome.Day 2 Rome Rome is a city where the modern and the old, the past and the present, go side by side. Visit Vatican City, the smallest city state in the world and the seat of the Roman Catholic religion. First, you will see the Vatican Museum, with a visit to the world-famous Sistine Chapel, a source of pure inspiration for art lovers and tourists alike. Then, visit the Basilica of St. Peter’s, home of the architectural and artistic masterpieces by Michelangelo and Bernini, which will leave you awestruck! Next, you will visit the imposing Colosseum, a vast amphitheatre, known for gladiator fights. This historic city has many more sights to offer; the Victor Emmanuel Monument, the Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain etc. Later, visit the Time Elevator, where you will be transported back in time! Overnight in Rome. (B) Day 3 Rome – Florence (3 hrs) Drive to Florence, heart of the Tuscany region. Locally known as Firenze, this small expanse of land boasts of awesome beauty, like a sun-burnt orange glow on a towering dome. Take a guided city tour of Florence and see the Duomo, the Campanile, the Baptistery with its Gates to Paradise, Piazza Della Signoria, an open-air museum of sculpture, the famous Ponte Vecchio Bridge across River Arno and Santa Croce, where Michelangelo, Galileo and many famous personalities are buried. Drive to Piazzale Michelangelo, the square on top of a hill, for a bird’s eye view of the city. You will see the replica of the impressive statue of David. Check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight in Florence. (B) Day 4 Florence – Pisa (1.5 hrs) – Venice (3.5 hrs) In the morning, you will be driven to Pisa, the city of the Leaning Tower. Pisa is a city in Tuscany, Central Italy, on the right bank of the mouth of the River Arno on the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is the capital city of the Province of Pisa. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the piazza’s crowning glory. The majestic tower will leave you awestruck. Explore the beautiful Square of Miracles, with the Cathedral and the Baptistery. You will get some time for shopping. In the afternoon, you will proceed to Venice, the City of Canals. Overnight in Venice. (B) Day 5 Venice Venice is an archipelago of 118 islands, 170 canals and 400 bridges. Today, visit the Murano Glass showroom, where a master craftsman will demonstrate the art of creating the famous Venetian blown glass. Later, visit the St. Mark’s Square, and soak in the unique atmosphere of this charming city. Enjoy a Walking Tour of St. Mark’s Square and learn about the history that lies behind the walls of its most famous landmarks; the Basilica, its Byzantine heritage, the Doge’s Palace and its adjoining prisons. You will have time for lunch and shopping. Along the Venetian waterways you can experience a ride in a Gondola. You will see fabulous medieval palaces that line the thorough-fares and their shimmering reflection, dancing on the surface of the water. Overnight in Venice. (B) Day 6 Venice – Lucerne (5 hrs) Post breakfast, head to Lucerne, the gateway to central Switzerland, embedded within an impressive mountainous panorama. Thanks to its attractions, its souvenir and watch shops, the beautiful lakeside setting and the nearby Mt. Rigi, Pilatus and Stanserhorn, the town is a destination for many travel groups and individuals on their journey through central Switzerland. In the evening, enjoy a scenic cruise on the lake, which gives you a stunning view of the city from a distance. You have free time at Schwanenplatz to shop for Swiss Army knives, chocolates, watches, souvenirs, etc. Overnight in Lucerne. (B) Day 7 Lucerne Today post breakfast, take the sensational cable-car to Mt. Titlis and embark on the greatest adventure of your life! Marvel at the world’s first revolving cable car ride, a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. As the scenery changes from green, grassy meadows to snow-clad mountains, you will be spell-bound. Experience snow and ice at 10,000 ft. at the top, where you can play with snow or enjoy the ride on the Ice Flyer, for panoramic views. Weather permitting, you can take a walk on the Titlis Cliff Walk, Europe’s highest suspension bridge and the latest attraction on the terrace atop the Summit Station. Overnight in Lucerne. (B)Day 8 Lucerne – Interlaken (1 hr) In the morning, post breakfast, you will be driven to Interlaken, a beautiful town nestled between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. The vacation destination, which is presided over by the three mighty mountains, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, is the starting point for numerous activities. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Soak up the beauty of the city! Overnight in Interlaken. (B) Day 9 Interlaken Today get ready for an exciting trip to Jungfraujoch, the top of Europe, for a memorable encounter. You will be amazed at the scenic splendour you see from the cogwheel train, which takes you to a height of 3,454 m to reach Jungfraujoch. See the breathtaking Jungfrau Peak and the awesome Aletsch Glacier. Also, visit the Ice Palace, where you will see a beautiful display of sculptures made of ice. From the Sphinx Observatory, you will get breathtaking views of the Bernese Oberland Mountain Range. Overnight in Interlaken. (B) Day 10 Interlaken – Zurich (2 hrs) After breakfast, leave for Zurich. As a “metropolis of experiences” by the water, with a magnificent view of the snowcapped Alps on the horizon, Zurich offers a unique mixture of attractions – over 50 museums and more than 100 art galleries, international fashion labels and Zürich designs, and the most flamboyant and lively nightlife in Switzerland. Enjoy a city tour and see elegant Bahnhofstrasse, its busiest street, lined with banks, shopping arcades and boutiques. See St. Peter’s Church, with the largest clock-face in Europe and the famous churches of Fraumunster, known for its beautiful, stained-glass windows, created by Marc Chagall. See Grossmunster, a Romanesque style Protestant church with twin Romanesque towers. Overnight in Zurich. (B) Day 11 Depart Zurich Post breakfast, depending on the departure time of your flight, you will be transferred to the airport. (B)
